Gallo acquires another Sonoma Winery
E.&.J Gallo has purchased J Vineyards & Winery in Sonoma County.
J Vineyards, who started out 30 years ago as a small sparkling wine house, is now the producer of premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and sparking wines did announce that they were proud to “have found a perfect fit to take J Vineyards to even greater heights.” The deal included vineyards that span more than 300 acres which spread across nine vineyards along the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River Valley.
E.&.J Gallo, world’s largest winery formed in 1933 in the San Joaquin Valley has been moving into premium regions in California and Washington state, as well as, imports from several countries. With their acquisition of J Vineyards & Winery they continue their move into the luxury and premium wine sector.
Gallo wines from Sonoma include Frei Brothers Reserve, Laguna, MacMurray Ranch, Rancho Zabaco and several products under the Gallo Family Vineyards label.
