Christmas is almost here and some of you are already over it. Your kids are on winter break from school, you have in-laws and relatives heading over to your home, and there’s cooking and cleaning and present-wrapping to do, and all you want to do is to sleep. This time of year can be just plain overwhelming when it’s supposed to be the best time of year! It’s definitely not worth it, but there’s food news – I have a cure! Five of them, actually. Easy-drinking wines are here to melt away your Christmas stress!*

Picking the Best Easy-Drinking Holiday Wines

The key to surviving the holidays is treating yourself. Whenever I get stressed out and need a moment to myself, I seek a glass of wine that is soft and easy-drinking. At this point, I don’t care about blind tasting or analyzing the residual sugar or pairing it with food. I am looking for a wine that is very fruity, supple, soft, and finishes with a touch of crisp brightness that keeps me salivating for more. Most importantly, the wine has to be inexpensive because you’ve probably already busted your budget on toys and pictures with Santa and Christmas ham.

Basically, these aren’t thinking wines, they’re drinking wines!
